President Goodluck Jonathan has claimed that those state governors, who keep attacking him and his administration, are not actually fostering the development of their states by such actions.
Receiving a delegation of Anambra State indigenes, the country leader advised such critics to take their cue from Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State by ensuring cordial relationship with him and the Federal Government.
He was quoted saying: "A number of politicians feel that the best thing to do is to be abusing Mr. President, abusing the Federal Government and so on... Wearing boxing gloves, jumping into the boxing ring to face Mr. President does not help the development of any state."
Jonathan also
commended the acting governor Peter Obi, who is to leave office on March
17, for his great performance as governor and for his loyal attitude
towards the president's administration.
Obi on his part, said
that it would be difficult for any state governor to make any meaningful
impact without the support of the Federal Government.S/N: NAIJ
