Genevieve Nnaji Lacks The Ability To Evolve Beyond Her Present Heights- Charles Novia

Charles Novia while congratulating Nollywood’s recipients of yesterday’s Nigerian National Awards has said Genevieve Nnaji is not a good actress per say and lacks the ability to evolve beyond her present heights in her career. As BN told you on Saturday, the National Film and Video Censors Board has approved the screening of Half of a Yellow Sun.

Shareman Media and FilmOne Distribution, are happy to announce that the highly anticipated movie, Half of a Yellow Sun has been certified for theatrical release in Nigeria.
The movie, starring BAFTA award-winning and Oscar-nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, BAFTA award-winning actress Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose, AMAA winners Genevieve Nnaji and Onyeka Onwenu, Zack Orji, and O.C. Ukeje has been opened to audiences in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and USA.

The movie adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s best selling novel “Half of a Yellow Sun” after a long wait, premiered today (right now) Saturday 12th April 2014 at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The movie’s director Biyi Bandele as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor (Odenigbo), Genevieve Nnaji (Ms. Adebayo), OC Ukeje (Aniekwena), Reginald Ofodile (Aniekwena) and Gloria Young (Aunty Ifeka) are live at the event.
The great minds that help make the movie a reality are also present.

Nollywood’s Biggest Blockbuster? “Half of a Yellow Sun” Had a $10 Million Budget


The adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s best selling novel – Half of a Yellow Sun, cost the production team a lot of Benjamins.

Half of a Yellow Sun set to premiere in Nigeria on Saturday 12th April 2014, stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Genevieve Nnaji, O.C. Ukeje, Onyeka Onwenu, John Boyega, Anika Noni Rose, Zach Orji, Gloria Young and Tina Mba.

Biyi Bandele, who also directed the MTV BaseShuga” Series, was the director.

Mikel Obi & Genevieve Nnaji Co-Star In A New Nollywood Movie

Guess what?...Guess who?....Chelsea football star, Mikel Obi has made his Nollywood debut. Weeks after we posted photos showing the Nigerian soccer star with Genevieve in South Africa, we can now confirm that Mikel was actually in SA to star in an inspirational new movie alongside superstar actress Genevieve Nnaji. The new movie is titled The Journey, and it's sponsored by Amstel Malta.
