Today Tuesday 22nd July 2014, makes it the 99th day since the Chibok girls were abducted by Islamist militant sect Boko Haram.
It has been announced that President Goodluck Jonathan will meet with the parents of the girls at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
A meeting was previously scheduled last week Tuesday but the parents decided not to attend. They reportedly returned to Borno the morning of the meeting. None of them showed up despite Jonathan waiting to meet them.
If the scheduled meeting goes as planned, this will be the first time Jonathan will have a direct contact with the parents. The commander-in-chief is yet to visit Chibok since the abduction.
