Protest May Affect World Cup, Says Pele

The Brazilian footballing great Pele says he fears the many protests in the country could hurt the World Cup.

Thousands of Brazilians have been taking to the streets to protest against the high costs of hosting of the tournament.

Pele said he sympathised with the demonstrators, adding that many foreigners could cancel their trips to the World Cup as a result.

Britain's Ministry of Defence has said that a spy plane sent to help in the search for the schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram had been grounded en route due to a fault.

"A technical fault which has delayed the Sentinel aircraft on its way to Ghana is being investigated and will be solved as soon as possible," said an MoD statement.
